Hello, my name is Elissa Senyk. I grew up in Ocean County, N.J. I graduated from Southern Regional High School. I am the oldest of three siblings and have a younger sister who has Downs Syndrome. Growing up with her has made me very passionate about helping people with special needs. I have been married for 16 years, and I am a mother to two amazing boys, Dylan (22) and Jack who is my superhero age 14. I am also a dog mom to Carley, a chocolate lab/German shorthair pointer. Together we live in Little Egg Harbor, N.J. I have experience working with people with special needs in the school and at home setting. Now, I devote most of my time to being a homeschool mom, giving Jack the best education and life experiences I can give him. I am a proud member of The Elks Club in Manahawkin, N.J., and I volunteer at community events throughout the year. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, painting, and cooking. My vision for The Super Hero’s Social Club is to help the teenagers and young adults in our community learn valuable social skills, and form long lasting friendships. Additionally, I wish to help the caregivers of our superhero’s connect, share resources, knowledge, and to have a social outlet as well because let’s face it, being a Super Hero parent we need all of the support we can get.
